President Obama brought a little of his home state of Hawaii to the White House June 25, as he hosted a luau.
Hawaiian food was served on the south lawn as hula and fire dancers entertained the more than 2,000 guests. Perhaps the most popular attraction was the dunk tank, where White House figures like Press Secretary Robert Gibbs sat above a tank of water as others, including eight-year-old Sasha Obama, threw balls at a target that would plunk them into the water below.
“I just want to say to all the members of Congress, you’ve been working hard. I wish I could give you all trips to Hawaii,” Obama said. “But I figured since, given our budget crunch we can’t do that, that we’d at least bring Hawaii to you.”

but i wish i could visit my husband in the USA for my summer vacation.we have been married many years ,since my job i have to work in China.
my husband live in both CHina and America,now he is there , my school vacation is coming ,but I got a refuse visa , I feel so sad ,dear president ,could you tell please tell me how i can make it there on my vacation ?
your embassy issued my visa last time . I am wondering why couldn’t this time?

I love the Obama family. They enjoy their social life and President Obama is also working hard for his country. Reading about the luau at the white house, it brings back memories of my vacation in Hawaii in 1978.
Many people are mixed up about President Obama’ s home country because there has been so much misinformation. His father was kenyan, his mother was american and he is an american. He was born on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.
