It may be another three weeks away, but there’s a lot of interest in Obama’s July 11-12 trip to Ghana – his first visit as president to an African nation.
The trip will be a “historic occasion,” Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Johnnie Carson said in a recent interview.
“Ghana was also the first state in sub-Saharan Africa to gain its independence and … today is one of the most vibrant economic and politically important countries in West Africa. Ghana has been a strong contributor to regional stability to African peacekeeping missions in West Africa as well as around the world, and it shortly will become a major producer of petroleum,” Carson said.
What do you hope to see President Obama do and speak about while in Ghana?
The recent history of Africa (and maybe not so recent) has been a blight on humanity in many ways. I hope that this trip will mean that the US takes more of an interest. I would like the President to address the promises that were made in, I think 2007, for writing off debt etc. We have had no feedback on successes and failures since then.
President Obama should say, promise something on making government smart through new technology. Interestingly, USAID, implemented a mould-breaking ICT for Development in the Central Region, of which Cape Coast is the capital, in the late 1990s.

Obama’s visit to ghana is historic to some people but to me he’s home.we need his message of hope that he preached in america.
African leaders need to be schooled about hope and how to get things done.
We in africa dearly need hope so that the over millions wallowing in naked poverty will have a sense of change and direction,hope and sense of prosperity.
Enough is enough for africa we’re tired of (booklong”) we need positive action and not rhetorics or political vibes,we want things done and not words or terms that don’t put food on our tables.

I would like him to stress the important link between ghana and the USA. For instance ghana was the first to embrace the peace corps program, it has benefited from Alcoa’s valco that was built in the 50s. More african americans trace their roots back to ghana and there are more african americans now leaving in ghana than any part of the world. He should stress that this link should be sustain at all cost.

Dear Mr. President,
First let me commend you for taken the bold decision to visit Accra, Ghana which I hope will provide opportunity to tackle the challenges of Corruption in Africa.
As you would have noted the issue of corruption is a big problem that is constraining the development of the continent and it will be great if you could provide support for civil society to continue to work around the issue.
The most challenge aspect is the role of Western Companies which remains an obstacle to Africa development. Particularly the Oil companies deep involvement in corrupt practices in the Oil business has also contribucted to the failures of number of laws and conventions established to tackle the issue.
Most of the laws include the US Foriegn Corrupt Practice Act(USFCPA) and the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention.
It will be great if you could add your presidential voice to support the campaign to end the widespread corrupt practices in the Extractive Industries.
Already US and other Western Countries are supporting the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative(EITI) which was developed by multistakeholder to respond to the above corruption challenges.
EITI is not able to resolve the Halliburton corruption case in Nigeria.
What can your visit to Accra contribuct to resolving this challenge? I will wait to see how you you respond to the Western induced corrupt practices in Africa.

Dear President Obama, we as Ugandans are very grateful for the financial aid you have extended to us especially alleviating poverty, HIV/Aids and Malaria. My concern is – with the current global financial crisis, is funding going to be increased, reduced or stay at the current level? Please address this issue in your speech in Ghana.
I think Obama visit to Africa is an inspiring things. I believe it will strenghen the democric governance in Africa.
Please address the continuous genocide through corruption. More children and poor people have died because of economic graft than outright war. Imagine all the people and especially children who die from disease, bad water etc because politicians have stolen funds with impunity. How can African leaders be counted among the richest people in the world and our kids die from childhood diseases, have no books in schools and go without food. We cannot for ever blame the West. This is genocide no different than Dafur. How about “our” leaders who get elected in good faith the first time, then they hold bogus referendums to keep them in office to cover their tracks. Western governments are the only ones that have the resources & guts to track this money down. Does anyone really CARE? Please hear the cries of our children and hapless peasants.

This war can cause Fall of America instead of continuation of war; my best suggestion for America must keep his Supper Power on the World and should conquer the World instead of war, but by his No-1 scientific technology spending on agriculture, industry, trade, education, scientific development and tourism, all round the World. Making an end to Economic Crisis in America.
A new Global Package is being offered for your kind consideration America will have to make complete and final announcement that in future all Multinational American Companies will get free land on 20-years lease and will set up under the BOOT agreement (in undeveloped and poor countries) factories, mills five star hotels, schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, air companies, shipping companies, latest railway, bus transport and steel mills. All these companies will be bound to handover without any cost to under developed and poor countries well as their machinery and transport after 20-yaars.

In the above mentioned exhibitions present products will be sold except export order booking. In these exhibitions, American Cultural Programs will have to arrange and American Traditional Dishes will be kept for sale. In these exhibitions American Tourism Stalls will also be put-up.
Following rules and regulations will be undertaken for the progress and prosperity of American students.
a) Among metric, Fsc, Bsc, (eng} .Mbbs, Llb, Ca and diploma holders in all institutions, all those receiving degrees at the state level, ten each from girls and boys by cash prizes will be announced on behalf of the gov during invitation on lunch.

The government of America should follow the below regulations immediately. For giving facilities to the government and
private employees.
The employees working in America shall be given pension from the government treasury equivalent to 50%

Such employees who suffer from disabilities shall be given insurance benefits for their whole lives for the government treasury.
And their children of the employees who face death also be paid insurance to their parent’s salary.
All the employees working in America shall given free transportation, medical facility, lunch and living during their tenure.
Employees leaving their jobs in America shall be paid given 3 months advance salary.
President Barack Obama will become more popular by taking above action, and industry wills also prosper more in America.

2) In America, all technical and agricultural training institutes would get 50% investment from federal and provincial governments

To develop agriculture, industry and business to increase production and to provide employment resources, the following rules and regulations would be implemented.
a) There would be a 50% tax relief to all factories, mills, schools, colleges and universities and commercial institutions, which are working in double shifts. The number of workers the second shift would be equal to the workers in the first shift.
b) In America , all federal and state government factories, mills, schools, colleges universities and all commercial institutions would be given 100% tax relief , which are running on triple shifts i.e. 24-hours,in such cases, the number of workers in second and third shifts should be equal to the number of first shift.
c) All the exporters in America, increase their exports in comparison to last year by 50%, would get 50%tax relief.
d) Those exporters who would double their exports 100% in comparison to last year would get 100% tax relief by the government.
To develop agriculture industry trade and export and tourism in America, I recommend the following implementations.
1) For building new industries the federal and states governments shall provide free land to the local and foreign industrialists.
2) after the acquisition of land the industrialists shall have to start production within the first year, and till 20 years the industrialists shall have to start production within first year., and till 20 years the industrialists shall not be able to either close or sell their industries. And after that they will become the complete owners.
3) Similarly for building agro industries, federal and states governments shall provide free land.

1) in America, in the private sector, the federal and states governments would provide free land of 4- canals 8-kanals,16-kanals and 32-kanals area to install these super stores in different motor ways linking big and small cities.
In these latest super stores, all the necessities of life should be sold in whole sale and retail sale with 10% prophet only.
a)vetables,fruit and grains,flour,rice, ghee , oil and spices.
b) Mutton, beef poultry eggs and fish.
c) Cold drinks, milk shakes, juices and milk.
D) Medicines, fertilizer and insecticide.
