President Obama met with the leaders of Afghanistan and Pakistan to discuss shared security concerns. “We meet today as three sovereign nations joined by a common goal: to disrupt, dismantle and defeat al Qaeda and its extremist allies in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and to prevent their ability to operate in either country in the future,” Obama said during a press conference following the May 6 meetings.
Obama also discussed the need for the United States to help Afghanistan strengthen its economy and to provide “lasting support” for Pakistan’s democratic institutions. For more, see “‘Unprecedented Cooperation’ in Pakistan, Afghanistan Talks.”

NEW ONE…FOR MR.OBAMA
This could be the beginning of NEW World …I WOULD REQUEST MR.OBAMA TO READ - few minutes of reading might the turning point of you and the world’s career.
Before I say anything about myself- let me tell the world, the white house members and of course, the President- that I have been saying for the last one decade that US should lead the world in PEACE - not in \war. Mr. President, if you are reading this, I believe you will be more capable to think for a better world.
Lead the WORLD and the US in Peace - and read on…
I promise to b e with you and make the world a new planet. Come let’s join hands.
Let me introduce my self in a nutshell. I am working for a think-thanks (a non profit organization ) called Peace International which has many other plans and activities, like, global warming and climate change awareness programs, peace and conflict resolution and Media and Broadcasting. I also work with Broadcasting and Print Media as Broadcaster and columnist. It appears I do lots of things- but I feel I should have done a lot more. All my works and activities are for the development of the society and humans. Ever since the birth of this planet - the conflict between the beings is there, the second phase of conflict began between the nature and the humans of the time. Till date the same situation prevails. Conflicts rule the world. More meetings are held to plan a war than settling one. Look at the pages of history - the basic ‘nature’ and theme’ of conflict have not changed at all.
Now its time for PEACE and only peace.
Being a policy advocate and peace analyst - I do lots of thinking an observation and write ups. I would like to invite my friends around the world to join me in my peace campaign ( for human rights and a green world). I believe in Internationalism, as such, for me any one from anywhere is welcome to be my partner in progress and distress!
I believe, with a little bit of commitment - we all can change the world. If we could conquer the Himalayas, we could land on the moon and invade other planets and the explore the galaxy, kill the Anaconda and build atomic bombs- why cant we do simpler things - and plant seeds of peace and grow it on the landscape of the our dear planet? The work is simple, believe you, the commitment is hard to make.Lets sing the song of Peace.
I call upon the members of the world and the heads of governments of all countries - make the platform ready for us and join our hands - and leave the posterity a heaven on earth.
I shall wait to hear from President Barack Obama, PM Gordown Brown, Angela Merkel, Sarkozy, Ban ki Moon, Melson Madela, Hamid Karzai, Netayanhu, King of Saudi Arabia, Rulers of UAE, Kings of Oman and Yemen, Lula of Brazil, Khameini of Iran, Mahathir of Malaysia, King of Brunei and all others - to stand beside us and make the world a stage of only prosperity and happiness - and send the term of “war’ and “poverty’ not to the museum but to the creator and pray that He never sent those back to the human race. Let Him destroy the devil that implants seeds of conflicts and violence.
Allow us to work. WE have no time left. This human life span is so short that we don’t have much time allotted to complete good works- but we still involve ourselves in competing in evil doings…
Contact me via my mail and I am ready to join any conference, congress and seminars round the world to place my opinion and new theories - that will change the world for good. Who knows, a revolution might be in the offing. All for peace.
I shall be waiting for your response.
Best to all.

one sided propaganda, yes, One sided propaganda.
I agree
Robert Fisk: Civilians pay price of war from above.
We live, they die.
I like the phrase, From Top Down this will not work. The Vertical will not work. Therefore, we go horizontal and have plenty of chaos.
“The old top-down approach to governance will no longer work”.
When I was in an audit firm, I was employed as a trainee. The Article ship was, ?you are a trainee, then you go up as a semi junior to go again as junior, then you are semi senior to become senior. You are a supervisor to become a tax or audit manager. You skip any of the stages you are drafting the balance sheet, making tea, sweeping the floor, going to banks, clear the tax query, see the client. You end up with one balance sheet a month. This is silly and not profitable at all to any. See this above in this manner and may be it will strike to you that we had the division of labour by the army majors. There were the front rows like we have in football, then there spear men, the kickers of the ball, and then we had the defence, here in golly.
Put all in one line and all run for the ball, and then we get the game ruined.
Is this stupid or wise.
Moreover, this we are talking of politics where the country is at stake and at this time.
This is a rubbish statement and childish.
Now we come to Iraq.
The biggest American Embassy is in Iraq, so UK is the loser. This is one sided UK is loser any way, this is one sided.
The last statement is from top and bottom.
Now do you feel comfortable?
I thank you

the united states protocol to keep on right side MR.karazai during his visit and meeting president obama ws body mesge to president zardari of pakistan tht america has priroity for karzai istead of pak president. then stressing the pak president to wash off taliban within short time looks more corice than excessive reason. the simple logic tht united states wth huge infrastructure and modern multinational millitary spport cld not wipe out the taliban for last eight years; how come pak with little resourcses hving social and political conflicts cld do it wth its social and political consequeces.taliban has successed to be part of the society of afgan and some parts of pakistan and millitary might on them failed and resulted counter productive. even president karzai failed to smile back at afgan land and advised the united stats nt to hve air strikes which latest strike killed majority of civilans leaving three taliban dead and 97 famillies grieved yet increased row of enemies of america.this is my humble suggestion tht american shd engage moderate religious scholars to seek out terms of reconcilation wth right thinking leadders of taliban to dispel the notion of each others enemyhood thus esuring peace in the region.thx

Sir,
The main issue in the region is religion. On the one hand down below the two countries we see conversion of innocents by Christian Evangelists, who kill culture and values, by their too much of “love” for non-Christians. On the other hand, the Islamic fundamentalists take the law and religion in their own hands and act as messengers of God. Unless the real purpose of religion is understood, there cannot be any peace in the region and the world

I believe if the US has to win the war against extremists, it has to win the heart of common people. In order to do so it has to embolden MEDIA in Pak & Afganistan and clear its poor image in the minds of people there.
We believe its desirable to chase the extremists but winning the hearts of the people for whom it is being done ( in addition to betterment of the world) is crucial. Even if pak is not democratic its pillars of society & media in particular has to be on the side of the USA.

What Nazir Ahmed said said is true. the taliban have wrong understandind of the religion. and have deviated from the right path. you need to change their understanding not their action. because they act according to their understanding and their beleif. the best way to solve this problem is to have reasonable conversation with them with the scholars who have correct understanding of the religion. to let them understanding with proofs and evidences that what they are doing is wrong and unacceptable by Allah, the one who wants peace for his slaves and not war.

Has Obama already lost his way in the labyrinths of Washington establishment? What became of his resolve to impose accountability on Pakistan? Can a new initiative succeed if Gates of Bush era remains the defence chief? Is Pakistan cracking up because its desire to grab Kashmir remains unfulfilled? Is America planning to make it possible for its key ally on the war on terror? Ought not this business of statecraft be taken a shade more seriously than shuttle diplomacy of oracular pronouncements and spot verdicts? Who steers American foreign policy for South Asia, Holbrook, Clinton or Obama? Should not the three centers be in sync?
Unless the world is viewed through the prism of values, uniform and unassailable values, American foreign policy will continue to create more problems than it solves. Area specific policies breed expediency and myopic goals with disastrous consequences.
Why do pictures emerging from fighting zone in swat appear so different from pictures from Gaza strip? No scenes of death and destruction, only empty tented camps, people on foot and on top of buses.

Obama’s Praise For ‘Extraordinary’ Britain.
Afghanistan or Pakistan to be a safe haven for al Qaeda.” No more killing of our soldiers - you and your government under the Clintons allowed the Roman Catholics to murder 2,514 of our soldiers.
These Irish are still murdering our people, in our homeland, with funds from the US - so stop going on about al Qaeda.
Brown, Blair and all British MP’s are corrupt, just like those in Afghanistan and Pakistan - you remermber ‘Nam’ when the US supported a corrupt RC government.
NATO Troops OUT NOW Mr President!

‘This is the concept of the three-legged stool - security, development and governance.’- a report about US strategy in America.
Does it not have a crucial factor missing? None of the above three, singly or collectively, furnish a fertile soil for terrorism to grow and thrive. Culture is the culprit. Occupation forces can neither succeed in their military objective nor win over local population without taking into account the cultural imperatives of the land.
Culture is too comprehensive a term to be split into a few clear cut factors. However, in places where religion is a dominant force in the lives of ordinary people, it also becomes the foundation of culture. Morality is defined by the value system prescribed by religion. The nature of social intercourse, in turn, emerges from this ethos.
For a successful strategy to defeat terrorism doubts must be sown in the minds of Pakistanis and Afghans whether blood spilling jihad does in fact have the sanction in Islam? Every available tool of cover and overt propaganda must be used to reach out the masses of Pakistan and Afghanistan. In this age of IT wonders such a task ought not be difficult.
Winds of enlightenment must begin to flow freely across a land before any military action is initiated to weed out militancy. Obama is in a unique position to lend credibility to such a a media blitzkrieg. He needs to be at the forefront of this campaign in Af-Pak putting protocol aside. It is a crisis that has the potential to either mar his presidency or help him realise the potential of leadership that the world hopes he would.
