No matter whom the American people select, the next U.S. president will play an influential role in shaping our world. That’s why Campaign Trail Talk wants to know what you think. When Americans debate who their next president should be, they are examining the candidates’ positions on the economy, the war in Iraq, security, international relations and the future of the environment among other issues.
What issues matter to you and who do you think will do a better job addressing these issues – John McCain or Barack Obama? Post your comments below.

Taxes reduced not raised by the Republican Party.
Democrat Party are always raising taxes.
Obama doesn’t know first hand the soldiers harsh reality of war or returning.
Iran and the Middle East wants Obama, voting for him is nuts in my opinion.
Democrats always pull out of wars and leave us weak in the eyes of other countries.
McCain and Obama were treated so very differently by the media through out this campaign and in turn the media planted the seed of deception re Obama.
My vote will always be straight Republican ticket.

While no one wants to admit it , this election is all about race for most voters. It’s not about Republicans or Democrats as the media may have you believe.
I’m Black, and I’m voting for Obama because he’s black. I believe that Colin Powell - a Longtime Republican - is also voting for Obama primarily because he Black too. I also believe 99% of blacks will vote for Obama… because he’s black.
I trust Hispanics-Americans are taking some notes too. With their exploding population growth, their opportunity to Lead this nation is right around the corner. 2016, after the Obama years, sounds good enough to me.
(Asian Americans need to have more children, if they want a crack at the Presidential role in this century.)
Similar to how the white man took over the leadership of the land from the Native American Indian, this is marks the beginning of the end of the White Man’s National Reign.

L, mcmc, mclies, mcsleaze???? Anyway, why do you take my thoughts so personal? Trailer park, bigot, lanterns that look like black men? L, you’de be suprised to know that African blood/heritage is part of my families ethnicity, along with native American. You call me a bigot, yet have referred to Texas twice as poor quality people as a whole? I was born and raised in Mass., the liberal bastain of the east coast and where I reside after traveling and living in many other states. Obama?? Have you seen Gianna’s tv commercial…she is a 31 year old woman and survivor of a late term abortion! I don’t dislike anyone because of their ethnicity, what I do tend to steer clear of are people of poor character, liars, thieves, and generally, people who are not decent, whether black or white, rich or poor. L, I have mentioned the war(s) and the economy and illegal immigration and the massive financial burden(s) but you only reply with hate as you seem to feel the need to protect Obama. He should have been honest, he should have considered the ramifications of putting himself on the world stage, he should have rid himself of the bad associations that he had long before now. Obama ,as with most politicians, is offering the impossible as far as taxes. Combine that idea with his new massive spending and what do you get = more taxes, more government in our lives. Finally, I would have studied the issues/facts and most likely given my vote if Powell had chosen to run, I would have done the same for Martin Luther King Jr., had I been of age and had he not been taken from this world, so don’t label me a racist….shame on you, but Obama is black and white and I simply do not like the man’s character and yes, character is very important to most people - it speaks for a person, it is the person!

I honestly believe that Obama is going to most likely win this election and I hope he does however I cannot judge John McCain. I wish some people though would not judge Obama just because he is black I have seen him on TV and what I like about him is he speaks like your one on one with him. Anyway Best of luck America

Is there anybody who can lead US & reshape the world during this traumatic situation, other than Barak? I doubt there if is anyone. Barack is the only choice. If I would have been a US citizen I would have actively participated in campaigning for Barack. No two thoughts about whom to choose. I appeal for all US nationals to vote for Barak Obama only. May God bless him! He will be the winner.

L, I am a bigot? You assume I am from Texas and have little lanterns with black men hanging outside of my trailer? Actually, I reside in the liberal bastian of the east coast…Mass., and feel sorry for you that you have to act so poorly with your words…then again, that would be the Dem way? If you have to resort to blatant hate because Obama has proven his poor character over and over, well, again I feel sorry for you! I vote Republican, as I for the most part, believe in that party’s ideals….you know, hard work, less government, low taxes and the strength to get up every day and work v waitiing for another Democratic government stimulus check! I have lived all over this country as I wrote in a prior post, from New Hampshire to Texas to North Dakota, and my short time in California made me long for the liberal east coast, as much as big brother is alive and well it wasn’t as far gone as California. Your hateful words speak volumes in your defense of Barrack Hussein Obama. He needs to get out of office all together as his record as a jr senator and senator is lame, never mind the money power(s) that are using him as a pawn and making a fool of him on the world stage. 700 million dollars spent by his campaign and he really cares about people….bull! What about his elderly aunt who lives in boston’s “southie” slum housing and who he wrote about in his book…the one he thought so much of….bull. He will be the end of America, a country founded on hard work and God, should he be elected.
May the good Lord help you in your anger and uneducated assumptions and I will continue to tell the world of Obama’s 4 votes against saving babies that were born alive in botched abortion attempts. Have you seen Gianna speak yet, she is 31 and a survivor of a late term abortion. If you believe in that and if you support Barrack Hussein Obama then not only is he a sick and deranged human being but you are right beside him…may God forgive you!

I have seen the comments of readers and found that what i was thinking is right….almost all (99%) who are supporting Obama are muslims….we all know what is the motive of muslims….that is “islam will rule” by hook or crook….so what do we do….kick on their face by hook or crook….isn’t that a fair deal for these crooks….who give more importance to Islam than hummanity> These people know very well that they can not win directly through fighting so they are now using the democratic system to be the part of system so they can utilize it to fulfil their secret agenda…What a pity….even educated people are unable to realize it….

OBAMA is going to be the change, as change is the principal of Universe. No matter whoever comes, Americans need a competent Captain who can sail their boat in these turbulent times. As US sneezes whole world gets a cold, which is already gripping whole of the economic world. I pray to Almighty that he gives strength to Obama to steer the wheel of America on a right path in right direction. People are sceptic and want assurance with a lot of hard determination. Obama has to work a lot even if he reaches White House. This is just a run who’ll reach white house. But the real work will start once the Winner reaches White House. He has to keep his cool and get work done fast as people r seeking results as if there is no tomorrow.
Best of Luck OBAMA !

Look at my name….it says something…
it would be absolutely meaningless if people think I would vote for McCain/Palin.
Don’t get it wong. McCain deserves som credit for having been so bravely and greatly to serve for the USA ever since he was a teenager. However, I simply believe that the US is in need for a change at the moment and that 8 years of Republican rule has been more than enough. The White House can no longer tolerate the word “Republicans”.
I am Bill Clinton and I approve this message.

To all the Nay Sayers: “You have nothing to fear, but fear itself. So true, words of wisdon from FDR. However, I would like to perhaps put a twist to that and say, “You have nothing to fear, unless the “JEBSTER”, will be running for President in 2012/: Can this nation withstand another BUSHMAN in office. Just as the economy is getting started again, the Republicans will nominate Jeb to lead it’s pathetic party of disgrunted Ole Men. That is my prediction and I am sticking to it!
Why not! Other than Palin, no other Governor will do for the extreme right-wing. So along comes Jeb Bush.
*Some signs to indicate he’s running:
Buys land in Texas
Is seen wearing a 10 gallon cowboy hat
Loves to ride horses for a photo opt
Associates with known evangelists
Speaks at NRA rallies
Seen with Father/Brother more often
Wife bakes cookies
This is intended to be humorous for my friend J. Have a great Thanks-Giving
