The Democracy Video Challenge asked people around the world to create short videos completing the phrase, “Democracy is…” Over 900 contestants from 95 countries answered the call! Now it’s your turn to choose the winners.
Voting begins today and ends on June 15th. You can watch the videos and vote for your favorite on YouTube.
Also, be sure to check out today’s post on CitizenTube to read what YouTube’s bloggers think about the Democracy Video Challenge.
When all of your votes have been counted, six video producers - one from each region of the world - will win an all-expense-paid trip in September to New York, Washington and Hollywood. Their future is in your hands!

JAIHIND! jai world! good day,goodluck!
Who is telling in Hindustan & world is observing great democratic festival. India capitalist democracy or world over capitalist democracy is huge social money west programme made by the party led political leaders who should think over who is giving them right to ask votes from the inocent people who very easily believe on their words. The world over hopless capitalist democracy has put his legs firmly on the ground. Crores of crores of dallars have been gone to ashes but no pain come out on faces of the capitalist donators. At onece and very seriously we should try to understand what is democracy.
The constitutions of the world must include the people’s commission provision to give common man the representative right impartially at present this important first right of the democracy has been distributed by the capitalist party people to rich class of the society and what is happening false promises to people few votes make the one party rule and other people who vote for other party are completely ignored of their wishes. The democracy’s real meaning is not winning or lossing this could only happen when some capitalist people created the brand of parties. I will no go very further to make my point. I have the complete picture of social unity bases system and peopel’s rule based democracy. But I should advise to all who again and again took the name of democracy without the word included capialist, they must do that.
The needs great change of democracy and it will only come when we really want to unite the people socially and politically with the social & political system.
